Hi Rick. Thanks for this. Is 'Russian Pirate Radio' the actual station name they use?
No, there have been many names for this station, such as "Russkoe Piratskoe Radio" and "Music wave radio," which is why I have used that as a general name. I think Russkoe Piratskoe Radio is Russian Pirate Radio in English.
Thanks Rick. I have seen Music Wave Radio listed as being from Belarus, but you are saying its actually Russian?
It is true that Belarus has been suggested as a possible location in addition to Russia. Perhaps the intention is to conceal the actual location? I believe it is in Russia, but I could be wrong.
It's a Russian pirate. The transmitter may be located in Belarus or Russia.
They themselves also use the name Русское Пиратское Радио, which in English is Russian pirate radio.
